Day 2: Afternoon Sparring & Nap Time

From 1300 to 1500 Instructor Lash led the guys in a sparring session. Gloves, helmets, rib and shin guards - geared up for combat. Every cadet had a chance to trade leather with another cadet under the wtchful eye of Instructor Lash. Here's how things went:

After sparring, the guys cleaned up their sparring gear and ate some bananas (rich in potassium - the key to avoiding heat-related cramping). Then I gave the guys a couple hours for nap time. Rest and recovery is an important element in any training regimen:
