Day 3: Disarming a Knife-Wielding Attacker

After our grappling session, Instructor Lash took over and demonstrated the correct method of disarming a knife-wielding attacker. The two main techniques were a standing choke and a crazy Steven Segal wrist lock:

Nothing like teenagers playing with knives - rubber ones (FYI)!! Instructor Lash wrapped up the session by letting the guys take one another on in "marker fights" with the object of leaving a Sharpie mark on your opponent without getting marked yourself. Ahhh, fun & games at H2H.....

After Instructor Lash's session we had lunch - cold cuts, tortilla wraps, fresh fruit and vegetables.

I'll have more to post later in the day, including board breaking and the first installment on our community service project for the week (yes, cadets will receive 8 hours of certified credit this week). Until then - adios!
